And he fell in love

Clinton had heard stories of how women broke the hearts of good men and how badly they were treated in a relationship they gave their all.
But he knew deep down that true love still exists for him somewhere.
He had dreamt of a flawless bride that will house his heart and care for it so jealously. He was determined to find that love but not in a rush.
Clinton falls into a class of the well brought up, emotional and wired to respect ladies. This is why he patiently sort that one woman who was worth his heart. Yes!not only women deserve men who are worth them. Some men are price less!
His friends had pressured him to get a girl friend just to prove his manhood and ability to woo a woman. He refused and gradually kept them out of his live instead. He was a focused and determined young man.
Here came Bisola, a dark,timid and with a very unattractive outward appearance. She was from a very wealthy but humble background. Brought up to respect everyone just as they are. She was also from a core Christian home where her Mother was the lion of the family and her father the soft and gentle one. This summed up her composition as a quiet, shy and timid personality. She was used to people never in the mood to talk to her or help her. She always kept her face down, afraid to look straight into people's eyes. Her  Mom said it was rude to do so.
Bisola had just relocated from Lagos to Abuja and was still trying to get used to the environment. On her way to the mall, she bumped into Clinton, really friendly and good looking young man. And for the first time, Bisola had someone stop to listen to her without being in a hurry and guide her through all the sections of the big mall. She would have lost her way you know? Clinton fell in love with her personality already and wanted to know more about her appealing personality.
This was a journey to forever for these two who became love birds. It was love based on not physical attractions but character, values and worth. Clinton and Bisola had come to an understanding of each other and resolved to make the best out of their young relationship.
Clinton was much more in love than Bisola. For her, it was a gradual process because she had never believed love will come her way.
Their values about life matched and they celebrated the difference in their personality, weakness and strength.
Who wouldn't love a woman who is so articulate yet slow to speak, intelligent yet soft spoken, wealthy yet submissive, God fearing yet yielding, strong yet gentle and selfless yet with a large heart?he taught to himself. These were qualities he never saw in any other Lady as he was a well traveled and jovial fellow.
He made up his mind to make his love for her public. So planned an engagement party with a few friends and asked her to marry him. For Bisola, it was a break through for her, she never experienced love so pure and true in such a short while and she was convinced that she will be making one of the best decision of her life.
She said yes and Clinton's heart skipped for joy. Ah!! At last!
Their differences in culture and tribe posed a threat but he was ready to face it head on. He summoned courage and took her to his parents and after all the drama, they finally gave their blessing.
Clinton and Bisola finally began their journey to wedding preparations while looking forward to a happily ever after life together as a couple.
