The effects of choosing the right leaders on families/generations to come.

In one of my post, I did a detailed and precised write up about what we need to know about elections. I see election as an institution that admits people into leadership positions anywhere in the world. This institution has certain requirements before admission is given but for the purpose and aim of this article, let's focus on the effects of not voting right to families in any country. When we trace the history of some countries that are underdeveloped today, we would realise that, the causes are a result of wrong choices of leadership. In another case, most countries that are developed and ahead in technology, civilization and infrastructural facilities got there as a result of careful selection of Leaders into position that have the well-being of citizenry and the growth of such countries at heart. Such leaders are ready to die for what they believe and for their country. Some were murdered and others imprisoned. Their sole mission was to better the lives of citizens

WHY I HATE VAL'S DAY

Image
Val's Day as its popularly known, is believed to be lovers day. It's remarkable for the display of red, the colour of love. Gift exchange usually follows this widely recognized day even in some corporate offices. But my issue with Val's day is not far fetched. Back in my secondary school days, it was a day for immorality, wild parties and games that corrupt any innocent mind. I never attended any of those parties anyway, I mean, I dare not because from home Dad taught and warned us not to ever be a part of such. So engaging in any act all in the name of Val's day was totally out of the picture. As beautiful young girls and boys,I'm sure some of us got gifts from secret admirers. We couldn't even reject them because one couldn't know who gave them to you. Your gift could be under your locker, in your bag unknowingly, etc. We hid such gifts from Dad and Mom. You are dead meat if you are caught with anything they didn't buy for you back then.

What Nigerians don't know about elections

What Nigerians don't know about elections This article is focused on enlightening my dear Nigerians who are eligible voters that come 16th February, our fate as a nation lies in our decision to vote in who will represent us well as a country and lead us to the very place we desire. I'm aware of so many controversies and disputes all over the country and I'm not here to side any political party. My concern is for the poor in our midst, the future of our great nation and the born/unborn children. As voters, if we realise that we are so powerful by reason of our votes, we will consider its impact on our children and vote right without any centiment attached. Personally, I'm in support of the right person irrespective of what party they belong. Most times when I drive through points where newspaper vendors display, I see the young and old argue and even fight sometimes about things they have little or no clue about as it concerns politics. There is a lot going on back
