The effects of choosing the right leaders on families/generations to come.

Image
In one of my post, I did a detailed and precised write up about what we need to know about elections. I see election as an institution that admits people into leadership positions anywhere in the world. This institution has certain requirements before admission is given but for the purpose and aim of this article, let's focus on the effects of not voting right to families in any country. When we trace the history of some countries that are underdeveloped today, we would realise that, the causes are a result of wrong choices of leadership. In another case, most countries that are developed and ahead in technology, civilization and infrastructural facilities got there as a result of careful selection of Leaders into position that have the well-being of citizenry and the growth of such countries at heart. Such leaders are ready to die for what they believe and for their country. Some were murdered and others imprisoned. Their sole mission was to better the lives of citizens...

WHY I HATE VAL'S DAY

Image
Val's Day as its popularly known, is believed to be lovers day. It's remarkable for the display of red, the colour of love. Gift exchange usually follows this widely recognized day even in some corporate offices. But my issue with Val's day is not far fetched. Back in my secondary school days, it was a day for immorality, wild parties and games that corrupt any innocent mind. I never attended any of those parties anyway, I mean, I dare not because from home Dad taught and warned us not to ever be a part of such. So engaging in any act all in the name of Val's day was totally out of the picture. As beautiful young girls and boys,I'm sure some of us got gifts from secret admirers. We couldn't even reject them because one couldn't know who gave them to you. Your gift could be under your locker, in your bag unknowingly, etc. We hid such gifts from Dad and Mom. You are dead meat if you are caught with anything they didn't buy for you back then. ...

What Nigerians don't know about elections

What Nigerians don't know about elections This article is focused on enlightening my dear Nigerians who are eligible voters that come 16th February, our fate as a nation lies in our decision to vote in who will represent us well as a country and lead us to the very place we desire. I'm aware of so many controversies and disputes all over the country and I'm not here to side any political party. My concern is for the poor in our midst, the future of our great nation and the born/unborn children. As voters, if we realise that we are so powerful by reason of our votes, we will consider its impact on our children and vote right without any centiment attached. Personally, I'm in support of the right person irrespective of what party they belong. Most times when I drive through points where newspaper vendors display, I see the young and old argue and even fight sometimes about things they have little or no clue about as it concerns politics. There is a lot going on back...

BE ON THE MOVE WHILE YOU WAIT

We often confuse the waiting period of our lives to be the time when we just sit and lament on what we should have done or what we should have been doing. As I often tell my friends who love to have a pity parties, people don't always love to attend your pity party so get up, braise your self up and do something about that unpleasant situation you are in. Today, I'm going to share with you some useful tips on what you can do while waiting on different levels of life. Waiting could mean different things to different people and that's because we are all not on the same page in life. For an Entrepreneur, waiting could be that period you do intense research on a business, get a concrete survey to ascertain how it can best be run. It could also be the period you scout for fundings or get a skill that will enhance that new business idea. It not just enough to have a business idea, there are skill relevant to such. Invest in skill and you get back excellence and success in th...

LOYALTY TO YOUR SPOUSE

I once read an article that talked about loyalty. So many know what it is but only a few practice it. The hierarchy in marriage is                   God                      ||                 Husband                       ||                     Wife                       ||                  Parents                      ||                  Spiritual Leaders                       ||                   Office boss       ...

Why teens fall prey to sexual acts

Why teens fall prey to sexual acts This topic is termed very sensitive because it has do to with sex education. A lot of people especially our parents tend to shy away from it. Nevertheless, its importance in our day and can't be over emphasised as we see that most teens fall into error in this regard. Sex is sacred and its exclusively for the married. When anyone engage in it outside the context of marriage is an abominable act. Illicit sex is so prominent in this generation so much so that feelings and appearances lead most people into the act. Yes!its called an act simple because it involves two people performing it. Now,our teens fall prey most times as a result of many factors. It could be as a result of gullibility, lack of self control, inadequate sex education, peer pressure, competition or complex issues etc Whenever this topic poops up, its always easy for most people to point accusing fingers on teens forgetting that they were born into homes. Unlike most people...

PREPARED PROVISION

Several years ago, my family went through a hard time. Every family go through it in one way or the other. Ours was so bad because as children we had never really lacked anything or suffer for lack of food and maximum comfort in the home. My parents made sure our needs were well cover. It was so hard that we couldn't eat nice meals whenever we wanted and this we had to cope with. At the time, we had just moved to our own home and my parents had cleared their accounts to make our home a little bit habitable for us. The environment was different, the neighborhood was too hostile(including reptiles). Our house was surrounded by bushes and residential buildings were far away from us. We had to cope somehow. We fell sick one after the other but somehow, we got out of it. On evening, there was no food in the house so Mom went out into the bush to get vegetables she could make into soup but there was not fish or meat to cook it with as usual. While she went out, I and my immediate yo...
