The plight of a Lagos mother: a cry for help!

Since the discovery of COVID-19 VIRUS in Nigeria, life has not been the same for Lagosian especially. The fear of the unknown and the scare from all the cases around the world so far has made people extra careful.
Now, the first case was recorded in Lagos and this increased the fear and tension in the hearts of manyπŸ˜₯πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜¨

Last week, the Government did good by announcing that schools will be shut down till further notice to keep our young and innocent children safeπŸ‘ΆπŸ‘§πŸ»πŸ§’πŸ»πŸ‘¦πŸ». Later on, government also instructed that government establishments be shut down. Which is very commendable.

I have been home with my daughter since last week. Yes, you can say that we have been in self isolation🀣🀣🀣🀣. Anyhow, we are staying safe while we keep Faith strongπŸ’ͺ🏼πŸ’ͺ🏼
With little or no statement about private companies and all. This gets me thinking, could it be that The government don't care about the workers in the private sector of our country?πŸ€”πŸ˜ŸπŸ™„

Here are my concerns:
I know husbands who work with private companies where 2 out of 20% of them drive to work while the other % take BRT buses to workπŸ₯ΊπŸ˜²πŸ˜Ÿ . I actually don't find this funny as this company has refused to shut down so that they can work remotely while they stay safe.

I fear for my single friends who take public transport to and fro work at this time.
Note that: on BRT buses, there is nothing like social distancing, it's stuffy in there, touch and holding is inevitable. No one knows who carries the virus and those his colleagues will come to work like that😭😭πŸ₯Ά

How safe can a man who still go to work be? This tells me that neither the government nor those in the helm of affairs in such company care about the lives nor the safety of their workers. All they care about is the business and the money they make.

Like always say, Nigerian government never care about the life of its citizens. All they care about is themselves and no one else.

This is the plight of most Mothers in Lagos todayπŸ˜₯πŸ§’πŸ€°πŸΌπŸ€°πŸΌπŸ€°
Please, can we all join hands to ensure that these private companies shut down?? Start by sharing this post and make it go viral.  Let them see it and know how much danger our families out there are!

While some mothers are home with their children, their husband's are still out there at work. How safe are they with their colleagues? Others have to find a place to keep their children as schools have been close down because both father and mother work in private companies. How safe are these children? What then is the essence of shutting down schools when their parents still stand a chance of being exposed to this dreadful virus?

Last night, I saw a movie where the government were more concerned about the lives at risk than a property worth billions of dollars at risk. In their thinking, they can always replace that but never a lost lifeπŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§‍πŸ‘¦πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘¦πŸšŒ

The value of a life is worth more than wealth.

My resolve : Psalm 91
1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.

I have determined in my heart to sanitize my dear husband and family member out there by the blood of Jesus while I ensure that they adhere strictly to washing of hands, the use of hand sanitizers, social distancing and the use of face mask. 😷😷
I have also made it a point of duty to prepare healthy meals and keep fruits close by everyday and as a routine. 🍌🍏🍐πŸ₯¦πŸ₯—πŸπŸ₯˜
My heart goes out to every family in prayer this period. Stay strong mothers. keep standing in the gap for your family! 😍πŸ₯°❤️

  3. Honestly speaking... As I type right now my heart is aching. Hubby at work cos they refused to shut down, No more masks and sanitizer in the mall let alone Pharmacy. Most of the essential needs at this time are rarely available.

All we can do is adhere strictly to proper hygiene and try as much as possible to sanitize our family. May God keep us safe. We shall overcome by the mercies of God.
